The Lord is Gracious

Lately I've been thinking about what "my story" is. When people ask me about my life, what will I tell them? This is what I want to say...

The Lord is gracious.
He has given me abundantly more than I could ever ask for, and still he gives me gifts that I never expected. He knows the longings of my heart and listens to them. He hears my silent prayers and wants what's best for me. He has perfected orchestrated my life in such a flawless way that I can't even wrap my mind around it. He is so good to me, and I know that I don't deserve such amazing blessings. He loves me so much more than I could ever imagine, and I am only beginning to grasp the concept of what his love has done for me.

When I was little, I was really sick with asthma and Christ healed me. When I was in middle school, I struggled with finding friends and the Lord delivered a best friend that will be with me for the rest of my life. In high school, He seemed to give in to my every want. When my "brother" was diagnosed with cancer, he was healed and completely rejuvenated. When I decided that I wanted to get better grades, He blessed me with knowledge. When I decided that I wanted to have an after school job, He gave me the perfect assignment ...and allowed me to flourish until I made more than anyone but the manager, while working whatever hours I wanted. When I decided to go to college, He listened to my prayers and delivered the love of my life in the terms that I had asked for. When I felt alone, He gave me a job looking after others. When I needed more for my future career, He gave me a perfect internship that I love ...and again, where I've flourished. When I finally started longing to understand His heart, He revealed Himself to me in beautiful ways.

Jesus is perfect. He knows everything about me: every flaw, every imperfection, and He loves me just the same. He longs for me to give myself to Him completely. He has sought me out, He has left everything for me. He loves me more than I could ever ask or imagine. He has blessed me beyond comprehension, and asks so little in return. He revived my soul. He brought me from death to life. He loves me. He has always loved me, and He WILL always love me.
Yes, the Lord is gracious.
